Progress:

It has been a long time since the last update, busy times and unfortunately my health has not been kind to me, but it is slowly progressing.

On a positive note, we will over the next 5 weeks hand over 8 new cars, so we are really busy these days.

6 x RS-7 based on the Porsche 997

1 x RS based on a 993

The first 7-97 Turbo (world premiere)

These will all be handed over during our Spirit of Speed 2026 event where 18 KALMAR creations will present.

We have moved to new, better and more efficient facilities still right at our test track (HQ).

We have opened a satellite development hub in Denmark and then outsourced production of the 7-97, so a lot has happened the last year, and we now finally start to see the result of the hard work.

The automotive industry is no different than most others; finding the right people and the right suppliers is never easy, and we have faced this too. We have been let down by several suppliers who have not delivered the agreed product, and this has resulted in huge delays and lots of tiring discussions. Surely you know what I am talking about.

We have set out to be on the forefront of development and not cut corners; this goes all the way to our wire looms. A supplier has lost us 12 months on the 7-97 builds, but we chose to stay firm on our mission and to deliver the agreed. Therefore, I am proud and happy to say we have finally fired up the new PDM loom from a new skilful supplier. This means our 7-97 production can finally restart after a killing 12-month delay.

Sales:

The delays mean we have not been able to push cars out in the press and therefore less news attention. In addition, with the huge delays, the urge to add more waiting customers to the list is not on the top of the wish list. This has now changed as we have all the needed solutions and with a new build partner who has a totally different capacity.

So, we can now truly guarantee max 12-month production on 7-97, 9X9 and under 6 months on the RS-7 and under 4 months on the RS models. We have invested heavily in this, so we need your support to make it worthwhile.

It would be good based on this to see proactivity from your side on the sales side.

I know there has been a request for more info from our side; we are doing our best, but time has been limited, which becomes clear when I see that I have not made a dealer update for 12 months.

Jana will share all the updated product news with you over the coming days and send links for them.

Beyond Adventure RS-7

Partnerships / Production:

We have entered a close partnership with J.A.S. Motorsport in Milano, Italy. They will assemble our KALMAR 7-97! 30+ years as works development team for Alfa Romeo and Honda and producing their touring cars means they have the perfect skillset for us. A large facility close to Milano International Airport means we can finally invite guests and press to see how the cars are made.

We will still receive donor cars at our new HQ. Here the cars will be split and then put through the process—a process unique to the competitors with a technical attention to detail not seen anywhere else.

Our new painting partner does special Paganis, so here we also elevate the quality.

The RS-7 and the RS cars will still be built at our HQ.

I would STRONGLY recommend all of you to come by our Spirit of Speed event in Jan/Feb 2026, just like I suggest you come and see our production. This is by far the best way to see and try our products. And we have 18 cars on display.

Update on the KALMAR 9X9:

Testing of the Leichtbau is coming to its end. 100’s, if not 1000’s, of small details have been sorted and solved. The car is amazing, and we have passed the Michelin test phase and will now head for winter testing followed by TÜV testing.

We have been working hard with the electrical system and comfort but have made the needed breakthroughs.

We are on point with weight, so we have the possibility to deliver a 1250 kg car, just like it also seems we can meet our performance target at Nürburgring, which is below 7 min with the Turbo!

This means we do have a product unique in the market, and therefore I prefer we don’t call this car a “resto-mod.” This is like a new car, with hypercar performance but easy to drive and able to do mileage like an everyday car. So far, we have done over 30,000 km.

Please study the product news and start asking questions, just like let us know how to attract your customers. Here is a journalist view:

I have a list of customers with strong interest, but we have kept the car “under covers” to be sure that the end result would be as promised and it surely is ! So let’s start selling!

Update on the KALMAR 7-97 Turbo:

Much too late, but better late than never. We will present the #0 car on the 25/1-2026 to the customers, 150 km north of the Arctic Circle! The boys are working around the clock at our HQ to be ready.

We have gone to extremes and therefore faced issues not expected, especially the electrical system but also the engine concept. Some of our competitors deliver cars without catalytic converters to reach their power targets; some have much less power. We took on the challenge of conquering both. This was not easy.

Melting cats in the beginning, but with great cooperation with our exhaust/engine suppliers, we solved the issues. Now we have 650 hp / 690 Nm from the 3.2 L engine (here we can share for the first time that we will also offer a Turbo S with 3.6 L and 700 hp!).

The Turbo will be the first KALMAR with a PDM electrical system, and this will also introduce the round LCD screen in the 2nd dial in the dashboard. This will give us options of reverse camera, Apple CarPlay and many more functions.

Performance will be unique with close to 1200 kg, all-wheel drive and close to 700 hp. This will be a benchmark for many others.

Promotion will start at 25/1!

We have 3 more in production, and with the electrical system sorted, we can finally push hard forward and deliver the 3 cars in 2026.

The 7-97 Turbo is ready for selling.

BA Safari Range RS-7:

This car was made for 1 customer who wanted a one-off, but when we saw it, we had to offer it to others and 7 cars were sold in a few weeks. We have launched the car, but in January we will show the full range of cars we deliver.

Press has driven the car and are impressed, especially with the ride quality and how easy the car is to use.

We keep this car as a BA Safari Range as we do not totally restore the cars, but we do change many points. As you can see, there are a lot of colourful cars in production and all will be ready for the Spirit of Speed 2026.

Starting at 100,000 euro, this is a bargain compared to the 992 Dakar, but this can be used off-road, so let’s sell!

As you can see, there are a lot of colourful cars in production and all will be ready for the Spirit of Speed 2026.

Beyond Adventure Safari Range:

Please don’t forget the cars; they are making customers happy and create a lot of awareness. Pricing is very competitive, and we have for Cayenne E1, E2, 964, 993, 996 and Cayman.

Please ask if you have any inquiries.

Activities:

In January/February 2026, we will be back to Finland at our new driving area up there. Spirit of Speed. Consider joining us and bringing some customers along.

This year, we’ll again have some media as we bring the KALMAR 9X9 for a winter test presentation on top of the Turbo launch and the handover of the RS-7’s and RS.

We have agreed with the “Late Brake Show” to make them a Boxster Safari, and they will make several features about this build in the spring of 2026.

Due to my health, we unfortunately had to cancel both the My Garage track day and Goodwood; this we will try to manage in 2026.

You as a dealer:

We would still like each of you to identify a contact person(s) for sales so we know who will handle incoming requests, and we expect immediate responses to customer inquiries.

Please be proactive in selling and ensure that customers understand we are not just another Singer copy but a far more engineered car than their Classics. Our conversions offer customers much greater flexibility for individualization.

2025 was not as planned, but what does not kill us makes us stronger. We need your support in 2026; let us know how we can help you to get better—there’s always room for improvement.

If you’ve made it to the end of this message, please share your comments on the information and requests mentioned.
