The Process

The process of building every KALMAR Adventure Range model is as specific as the customer’s vision, varying based on the individual details required. KALMAR Automotive designs, develops and hand manufactures every model independently, each one built to support the customer’s personal process. The length of the task usually takes between three to nine months, and the client is involved in the entire process, with frequent updates from the KALMAR Automotive team.

Hundreds of hours are invested into each KALMAR Adventure Range car by the devoted KALMAR team, and depending on the intensity of the model’s specifications, the processing time varies from build to build. At the end of each production, there are never two KALMAR Adventure models that are the same, each car has unique, one-of-a-kind specifications, and is always tailormade for the customer.

Process KALMAR RS
Each build is initiated with a detailed road test by the car chief of the build. Thereafter the donor car is taken apart by the team in house based on the exact requirements. For the RS this typically consists of suspension and gearbox removal, stripping the interior and doing a full check of the entire car. Although, KALMAR’s team can go further and beyond this initial process depending on the final desires.

When this initial task is completed, a report is made to the owner. At that point, if there are more items or rectification issues discovered in need of attention after the car has been taken apart, then the customer will be provided options of how to fix and proceed.

Process KALMAR CS/CS-R
Each build is initiated with a specifically planned road test by the ‘car chief’ of the build. Thereafter the donor car is taken apart by the team in house based on the exact requirements. For the CS / CS-R this typically consists of suspension and all plastic under body part removal and doing a full check of the entire car. Although, KALMAR’s team can go further and beyond this initial process depending on the final desires.

Depending on the outcome of pre-check and agreements with customer, the rest of the car will be checked and repaired if needed.

The cars received a full suspension set-up and each KALMAR Adventure model goes through a 500 to 1,000 km test phase before the customer receives the build.
